Alpha Cubesat Chip Satellite (ChipSat)

Alpha CubeSat is a demonstration of solar sail technology by the Cornell Space Systems Design Studio. It has a planned launch to space from the International Space Station (ISS) in 2023. More information on the flight experiment it can be found on this page.

During the Summer of 2022 I was the main PCB designer of the Chip Satellite that will go into the Cube Satellite. I designed one iteration of the satellite in Altium, which handled communication with LoRa and data collection with an array of sensors. It was eventually fabricated on a flex PCB, which can be seen below:
